Just go to Ghelsbea Outpost which is the zone of the North West part of West Ronfuare.
but there's no gurantee that a person will get a Lauan every time, I should know. I've tried logging for a while & got many different logs besides Lauan. Wish they had set areas where u'd get certain logs....either that or have monsters start dropping logs, like the Treants & Walking trees.
this stuff is great for low lvl woodworking skill ups, buy some windy crystals then go the npc near the gate in windy waters and buy the logs from him. cap is lvl 3 ~.^

Where is this peninsula place thats what I want to know where this stuff drops. If anyone knows Im in windhurst so I want to know how to get there and what leve you have to be to get there.

Yes, the wood you get is somewhat random. It depends what forest you are in. According to Brady guide:
Burburimu has arrowood log and lauan log (east); Holly log, Echo Root, Rosewood Log, Mahogany Log and Ebony Log (hard.)
Jugner has Arrowwood Log, Ash Log, yew Log, Willow Log & Walnut Log (easy) and Echo Root and Oak Log (hard).
Ghelsea Outpost has Arrowwood Log, Maple Log, Ash Log (easy) and Willow Log, Holly Log, & Elm Log (hard).
East Ronfaure has Arrowwood Log, Maple Log, Ash Log (easy) and chestnut, Yew Log, chestnut Log (hard). Sounds like chestnut and chestnut log are two different items. Suspect you can log/harvest the chestnut fruit? Coolness if true.
Easy and Hard refer to probability of logging that item. You'll get more of the easy and less hard, obviously. They say it is independent of craft skill in the Brady guide.
Pickaxe, Sickle and Hand axe are all smith made items at Amateur rank and should be available at auction houses, as noted above by the other poster. These tools stack. And they do break with usage. I've gone through about 8 sickles so far.

Does anybody know of any coordinates of any maps where I can start logging? I bought a complete field outfit that i've been using for mining and I wanted to try something new. I was going to try in West Ronfare since it's a giant forest, but I can't target any trees. Somebody please help me with proper coordinates rather than places, thanks.

I kinda asked for coordinates, like i-7, g-6 stuff like that, i know the places from the guide, hell i know the places around the world, but where inside of the places are the trees to log, there is usually a patch of them where you just run around like ghelsba, is every other place like buburimu where you run around like an idiot pressing tab til sumthin comes up?, or is there any percise location (g-6, I-whatever not the place, COORDS) inside of the places where you can log, nobody has built a percise faq for logging, i would pay money to that person who did.
I think that teh spawn points of logging points are random, they are loosely set, but mainly they are random
