ok.ok... pretty new at this synthing malarkey but what i wanna kno is there a special direction for skilling up, i understand the opposite elementals but just been tyring this recipe to start my cooking bout5.3 atm i just wanna kno do i face a direction to get better HQ chances etc ty
I was messing around, and I decided to try and get my skill up. I made one of these eggs and then used it (didn't wanna waste space) when i healed myself i got 10 HP and 10 MP. can anyone confirm this?
I was a RNG/WAR at the time so I had no MP anyways.
My job puts out the most impressive damage-over-time ratio of any class in the game. I hit hard, fast and often. During the end-game levels, I am the most powerful damage-dealer in the game on one of the key high-level EXP enemies. And throughout the game, the higher my level goes the better I get. I walk the silent path, and even the mightiest tremble in my wake. I am a monk.
I craft these to help raise my cooking skill, and I found that they gave me +10HP and +10MP, not the +8 that they have listed here. Maybe I am just special. It's kind of funny to see a Galka WAR with 10MP...

On the main guild recipe list, under "Skill Cap..." Is that the max that particular recipe will net you skill gains? Is that what it requires to successfully synth that recipe?
Thanks much =)

From what I've gathered it's the max level you can get your skill craft to by synthesizing that item. So once you hit level 6 with cooking, you'd no longer get skill increases by making the hard boiled egg. Pretty sure that's how it goes here anyway. ^.^
It's true. If you use a crystal on the day of the weak that matches it's elemental property, the chances of succeeding go up drastically. And like you said, you may create "special" items, or the semi-common +1 items.
The soft boiled egg is the High Quality version of hard boiled egg. When you get really good at a tradeskill you make better items out of the normal recipies. The higher your skill the more frequent you will make a high quality item. Soft Boiled egg is to hard boiled egg as grilled corn is to rosated corn. Same recipie + high skill === better product
I've created about 72 hard-boiled eggs now using the above two formulas; it works either way. Bird Eggs are much cheaper and easier to acquire, however, as they're sold in the Culinary Guild store in Windurst Waters.
One time, I created a soft-boiled egg, however. It's effect is +16HP/+16MP which is twice as good as the hard-boiled egg. I don't know what I did any different.
Do not hold me to this, but from other places on the fourms I have seen people state that there are special times that when you craft an item and it can produce a different result. They said it had something to do with the time on the clock being red? (this would be for the fire crystal) and there is supposed to be a time to do each crystal at?
I have no idea if this is even sort of true, but am going to do research on this tonight. I will post here as well in the General Trade Skill Forum if I find a definitive answer, buth this may have something to do with your soft boiled egg!
