ok i had the other one the chariot band and i threw it away when i had enuf for the this one and when i went to get it it says i do not meet the requirements to get it and i have enuf cp but i still cant get it i tried all the exp rings and i still cant get any of them and i dont know whats wrong so if anyone knows whats wrong please tell me.

I was just wondering, I'm almost to level 18 and I have the empress band and I love using it. But I was wondering: if you activate Empress Band, then switch jobs with it active, does it stay active? Or does it disable and make you wait another 16 hours??
This ring is why I wake up in the morning :D

I have been using this ring everytime I party, even taking the time to go to Jueno/Sandy to charge it when I'm partying in ToAU areas. So, over a year now.
Today, I was soloing goblins, half way through fight, realized I hadn't used ring yet. So, I equip, use, and goblin smacks me as a use item. No biggie, I get hit and use items all the time! Well, there is no EXP up icon on my screen. I try to use ring again, and see that the 16:00 hour reuse clock is going! Of course, I call a GM, and ask if I can have my clock reset, or actually receive my EXP up charge. GM replies, "Everything happened as it was supposed to. I suggest you check the community forums to learn correct usage of this item. EXP bonus is not a guarantee on this item."
So, my morale of this story is, not only are GMs helpful and a pleasure to deal with, don't use this in the middle of a fight.

When I read the stats on the ring, I honestly have no idea what it means and how to use it, I read the forum and kinda got an idea but can anyone clarify it more to me, just explain what everything means

1) Go to Menu - Equipment. Equip the ring on a finger slot.
2) Highlight yourself with your arrow, click and go to Items.
3) Move down list to the ring. After 15 seconds it will turn blue. Click on the ring and it will place a blue arrow over your head. Click once more to activate. It takes just a few seconds and you will have the "experience bonus" effect.

I believe they should have made the max XP 1000-3000 or even 1000-2000 depending on your main jobs level, like what they have for rings similar to the Tamas Ring.

You will have to wait till the next conquest tall before you can get it, its like when you recarge it, you can only recarge that once after every conquest tally week.

I was duoing with my partner (RDM/BLM and WHM/BLM), in Sanctuary of Zi'tah, we had just activated our empress bands, and we were getting nice little exp from DC leeches near the entrance to the zone when I noticed after a few fights that WHM was getting more exp than I was...
I couldn't find it anywhere in the log, but it appears as though one of the leeches we fought had somehow sapped my Dedication! Has anyone else ever had this happen? This seems really unfair. A mob shouldn't be able to remove the Dedication effect!

I must say, this really did help me whilst lvling my whm...once!! It's really annoying that it goes away after 1000. and even more annoying that I have to wait 16 hrs to use it again! grrr. lvling whm is quite boring...and I'd love for there to be a way for me to breeze through it. thank the lord for Rolanberry Pies!

Ok i just bought this ring and quite frankly it hasnt been doing anything im a lvl 14 blm and ive been soloing easy high defence and decent challenges in Palborough.Someone explain why when i fight one easy prey that gives me 35 exp i might fight another mob with the same lvl but only get 25 exp ! I guess im just asking for someone to explain exactly what thsi ring does.

I just have to comment that SE really needs to make this ring better. I am not comlaining about the added 1k exp. It is nice. But one of the problems with Final Fantasy is the slow lvling at the higher lvls. I would suggest another ring or something. Instead of haveing a exp cap, just keep the duration. So 50% for 3 hrs. That would great for any level. I know this is wishful thinking, but wouldn't that be awesome to be getting 200-400exp for a couple hours? You could pull down 15-20k exp a hour. But, until then, I will keep using this thing.
This ring is great but it was realy ment for low lvl players.
But I would like SE to make another one like this for say lvl 60+ and at say rank5 to get it.
And maybe have somthing like exp +50% for 2 hours no exp cap on it or just a higher exp cap instead.

I used my ring the other day to solo while lfp in Bhaflau Thickets. I had to log before I got the full bonus and had some time remaining on my ring. When I logged back on the effect was still there for another 45 mins. What I am getting at is that if you know that when you log on the next day that 1) it will have been 16 hrs. 2) you will be getting xp as soon as you log on, that you could essentially use the remaining time left if you use it before you log off on day 1, and when it wears during use on day 2 use it again. This could work for ppl with static parties or even BST.

I tried to get this band from guard in Sandy, my home. I am only offered clothes, weapons, scrolls and return ring. Is the ring only for certain jobs? I am a 18 rdm leveling my 3wm.

Does anyone know for sure whether or not the exp. gained form the empress band stacks with other exp. gain effects, like Cosair's Roll? Would it show up as two exp up icons or what?

First off, Astral Candescence is a special effect sometimes(seems like always) in the Aht Uhrgan zones, where you get 12% more exp per kill there. I was exping in the Woodlands just outside Al Zahbi.
I had used my ring only 10 exp into 63 BST, and then it wore 35-40 minutes later after a fight. I checked, and I had only gotten 2.6k exp from this! 50% of 2000 exp would be 1000 exp, so I should have had 3000 total when it wore. You would think, if anything, that you would get more exp from this. I'll try it again soon and see if I get the same results from this..

I have also noticed this, and was considering posting in the BST forum as a question. This seemed more appropriate. ;-)

You can put the ring on. Use the effect, and then take the ring off and put on something else and you still have the effect. Zoning, logging, dieing, peeing, jumping up and down: nothing removes the effect except 1000 bonus exp points or 3 hrs.

I do this all the time ^^, that is using the ring twice in one day.
Once you use this 7 times trade it to a conquest guard to get 7 more. once you recharge you must wait till the next conquest update to recharge agen.
one more thing you dont need to use all 7 to recharge and it costs conquest points (Varies on how meny you have left to use (0/7 costs more than 3/7)
Uhh why dont you just say it where its easy, for every recharge of the band its 100 pts it will only recharge what is left on the emp band say it was 3/7 it would cost 400 to get the 4 back need all 7 you get 700 etc, now i have not yet tried and do it with less then the required pts to fully charge it EX: Need 7 charges but only got 400 pts, not sure if it will still recharge those 400 im sure it would but dunno i never run out of CP's rarely use them except for IW Scroll's >.>

The effect even stays on if you log off. so the only ways to loose it is to gain your 1000 exp, let the time run out or disable it your self(why you now would do that, i don't get)

It would be cool if they made like rank ones that had to be lvl 30 40 50 60 and such to wear that would have higher caps of exp. But you'd have to chunk them if you wanted to lvl a lower job.
Note that it costs 1000 CP in your own and 2000 if you are trying to buy it in another nation and your nation is higher than thiers.
I tried to get this in Sandy (I'm a Windy citizen) and that's what happened to me.
Also to recharge it in another nation, you have to go to your consulate and not the nation's conquest person.

it stays on even if you return to hp while koed. it even stays on if you are disconected. i don't know if it stays on if you log off.

From experience, this Dedication effect stays active, even if you die and require a raise. Not sure if it stays active if you return to Home Point.
I'm really glad they dont take it away when you die. It would suck hardcore, activating it, getting killed in the next fight, and not be able to use it again for 16 hrs.

sence i got my Empress Band it has saved a lot of solo leveling time with the extra exp they give me,i love my Empress.
SE proves that it loves us casual players. Yay!

Everyone I party with - in the 60s and 70s - uses this ring in xp parties. It wouldn't be used much if SE had made it so you can only use it when playing solo only... which is really the point of using it IMO. It's much easier to get soloing done with this ring.
Most of the time everyone uses it right before we fight one mob... and then when they find out someone has to leave they ask if they can get the full xp bonus... *shrug*

Yes, you can buy an empress ring once everytime the conquest is tallied, only if you have dropped the ring, that is. You can't have 2.

No you cannot have both. Once you have one you cannot obtain the other unless you discard the one you have. The empress would be the one to get with the slightly higher boost in exp.

Once you have it equiped you have to wait for about 15secs then got to your items menu and 'use' it, its name will be blue.

This is absolutely untrue. I trade my Empress Ring in at Outposts regularly and it's always charged in CP. NEVER gil.
The great thing about this ring is that it pays for itself when used in XP parties at any level. Higher XP per mob = better CP gained. I regularly get 2k-5k CP from a good XP party now. All for a tiny 100 CP per charge.

The dedication effect will also (like food) last over your logout and login time. So lets say you have been crafting all day or the ring wasn't ready when you went to get exp, and you have to call it a day for work sleep ect. you can use the ring and then logout and get a second chance at the ring when you log back in. (work and sleep should cover that 16 gap) Have the dedication bonus from before your logout. and if it is timed right to have the 2nd effect wear off as the charges hit 0/7 you can trade it in for CP to have it recharged and RESET (but only if charges fall to zero and only once a week) Thus allowing you to get 3x the dedication bonus within one Nice Exp session.
When the ring is recharged, it is set to the maximum delay meaning you will have to wait 16 hours for it to become available again, thus you cannot get 3 lots of usage in such a short period of time.

I stand by my staements earlier and will restate IF YOU WAIT TIL 0/7 CHARGES AND TRADE IT TO GUARD YOU RECIEVE IT BACK RESET AD READY TO USE! If you are a moron(wishing to argue) and traded it at 1~6/7 charges the Timer is not Reset. To get 3 uses within one hour time follow steps. Use ring until it has 2/7 charges saving last two for Uber Exp hour. Then
Use Ring (1/7) and logout for 16+ hours (sleep work and/or school fill that gap nicely) and when your ready to fire away log back in. when you log in you will have bonus for three hours. (try eatting a 3 hours food about 30 minutes before you use your ring you will give yourself a 30 minute warning)
GO EXP Use 1: 3k+ exp
use Ring again (timer reset while you logged out) ring now has 0/7 charges and no timer.
Keep Exping Use 2: 3k+ exp
at anytime you are free to do so you can return to appropriate guard and have ring recharged (7/7 charges ready for use) this is easy at early levels near town or when changing battle fields often can go along with equip/item upgrades (cause you want to be ready for more exp) at later levels recharge when Tank or Mage or other vital member is afk for 25+ minutes and you have nothing better to do.
Use ring (6/7 charges 15:59:00 til next use)

Let me just say, while you are correct about using the Band three times in one day, you can also use the band four times in a row without the 16 hour delay.
As you said before:

HOWEVER! IF you do choose to start this chain a day or so before the conquest update... You can get a FOURTH charge to use in quick succession.
For me, I party only at night. 11-4ish EST time. I, myself, cannot do what I'm speaking of. So, let's say you party only in the morning... say... 7-11a.m. EST. You can simply log out Saturday morning, using your Empress Band beforehand. Then when you awaken to party Sunday morning at 7 o'clock, you have Dedication. Milk it until your bonus runs out, then reuse it. Milk it some more, then go recharge it and use it again. This should take up a fair amount of time. Now, you see, if you are using this time zone (which is just an example by the way), the conquest tally should be coming up very very soon. Now, as soon as the conquest tally happens, run and recharge your band again. -Yeah, I know it was only at 6/7, but just do what I say.- Now you can use it AGAIN.
Four uses almost completely in succession! Viola!

Okay -- so I call it "My Precious" I love this ring!!
I found out that after you use the last charge, the timer does not restart. It stays at zero (presumably because the last charge has been used, therefore the ring is technically no longer usable).
However, if you use the last charge in a city before you go xping, you may then immediately charge it back to full, and use the ring for a second time in a row -- without waiting the 16 hours between uses.
Just thought this might be a helpful hint for people who don't always get in the full 7 charges a week. Keep in mind, though, that you may only recharge this once per week. I usually end up using my last charge just after the conquest tally, and recharging to use my first charge later that afternoon (sometimes within the same xp pt). It's always nice to have an extra 2k xp come your way.

Actually, it's 100 CP per charge to recharge. If you used 5 charges during the week, it will cost you 500 CP to recharge from the gate guard.

It lasts for 3 hours real time, giving a +50% EXP bonus to a max of 1000 EXP. It can be recharged bt trading it to a local (That is, your home nation) or Jueno guard. who will then burn 100 CP per charge to charge it to full. So, an "empty" Empress Band will burn 700 CP to recharge.
It is Rare/Ex, and you can't have it and it's counterpart (the Chariot Band) at the same time.
It is nice to have, certainly, but (especially at higher levels) hardly a requirement... since it can only be used once ever 16 Earth hours. it is not a rocket to higher levels, unless you are leveling a level 1 job-- and then it's just plain freakish.

Yes, you can use the ring and then unequip and wear whatever else you wish, and still recieve the bonus.
