I'd say just to be on the safe side, go to Mhaura...well, this recommendation works best if you can outpost warp to Bubu then just walk vice talking that long a** boat trip from Selbina.
i tried to desynth these to get sheep leather but all i got was grass thread /fume

The armor shop in Windurst Port sells this for 550+ gil; it's the Taru on the right, the furthest shop from land. I'd post <pos> but I'm not logged on or nuffin's, so.

I went to try and buy this from Zemedars in the Bastok mines at location H-6 and he didn't sell any leather armor. I have no clue why. Leather is common in all the final fantasy games I believe, so I have no idea why its listed here as being sold by merchants when its not. The only solution I could come up with is its a mistake, or they do sell armor in limited quantites and REAL high levels like to buy them all out, and then sell them at jacked up prices cause I could see greedy players doing that. Can someone tell me if this is true? Does any merchant sell leather armor?

It also might be because Bastok is not in first place, Conquest-wise.
