Solo the hell out of these things as a 29 War >.>
How could a level 38 War die to these things? It's near impossible.

do not use dia, bio or any spell that will drain hp: if you use a spell like that they will get hp back there dead use cure on them they take a lot of damage with cures. i killed one in 10 seconds at lv 30rdm/14whm i casted cure3 and cure2 yes im gimped and i manhandled it.

How would a THF30/WAR15(or RDM15) go against these solo in Buburimu? Instant death?
2 bogys spawns in the lower left corner of F-9 in buburimu peninsula each night(good to know if you want a bloody robe) :D

Is there a best place to find a Bogy in Gusgen minees. Where do they pop?

They spawn on the bridges over the doors. The wooden part. :P

i dont know of a place in gusgen but in bubu on the beac htheirs abut 4 a night. i soloed them 31rdm/15war. just enfire blazes spikes dia para slow and blind and 1 cure 3 is all it took

I soloed 2 in a row as lvl 31war/15drg, the first cursed me but hardly did any damage. The second did about 100hp.
rumors r that the 1's in valkurm drop V-claws. I find it hard to believe too but this LS there was campin all the bogys and told me that the drop rate is 1/1000. i still dont believe it but just imagine
why the fook would this drop Vclaw???

WTF i just got owned by one with 35 war ><
just solo'ed this mo'fo as a 30 rdm, w/pld sub 11mp left and 356hp. got some luminicloth out of it.
Edit: used Cure III x4, Dia, Banish x3, Cure III again on em. then regen and cure iii on myself.

32 war/mnk i had to two hour it and i came with in 5hp of dying. Got the bloody robe and threw it away. Then went back to mog house to change my knickers.
i swear i got around 16-25xp and a bloody robe in a party as lvl 43 the other day in valcrum ..well the party was:
lvl 43/21 war
lvl 15 blm
he lotted on my bloody robe and stole it..im never helping anyone again
but it does show how much of a ***** this thing really is

bloody robe is a subjob item and generally worthless. If your friend lotted on it then you know what kind of friend you had, on the bright side it could have been the emp hairpin thats he lotted from you, If you were leader and got the drop and members are lotting, dont lot back give em the boot or D2, and collect your treasure.

one should take a high level and help the lower level players shake off these bogies..

These guys were nothing but a bother for me while lving in the dunes. So when i saw one in buburimu and it showed as ep i wanted revenge. I engaged and defeated one and felt like i had killed something worthwhile. I even got 25 xp out of it.
I thought the same thing. I came back to dunes while trying to raise my fame and I took one on. I walked right in front of it to see if it would aggro. It did and we fought. I am 33RDM/16BLM. Full buffs up, we go at it. He conned EP so I figure I have nothing to worry about. I do my full enfeebling on him (including Dia II). The only time I get interrupted is during Dispel. A few seoonds later I'm at half hp, he's still at 75%. So I throw a C2 a couple times, and get interrupted a couple times. He's still hitting me pretty hard, not to mention the *******'s ice spikes. So I start Dispel. Ha! He interrupts me again!! I finally get out enough C2's where I'm in the lead. Takes me another 30 seconds, but I finally win. I got 48Exp and was left with about 115/419hp. Take these at your own risk.

I've always hated these, although i've never been aggro'ed by one, but getting curse is enough to hate them.
I'm a level 30 paladin and I love hunting these things. Though I hunt the ones in Valkurm and the penninsula. Don't know about the ones in the swamp and such. I usually win fights with them with only minor damage. maybe a third of my HP lost at most. Man I love being a paladin! =^_^=

I took my 32 PLD back to the dunes for a little revenge on the gobs that had plagued me while I was leveling there and ran into a Bogy by one of the beaches. It conned as decent to me so I decided to take it on. It's biggest hit to me was when it cursed me and took my hp down by a third. I had used a chiefkabob and was able to beat it with about 150 of my hp and about 1/2 of my mp left. I didn't realize that the curse lasted so long and another one aggrod me while healing and I foolishly took it on instead of zoning and that one beat me. Might have been able to take it though if I had used my 2 hr or had holy water to dispel the curse.
umm, Im lvl 40 drk/20war. Do u guys think i can solo this guy in valkrum dunes. Because i really hate it. When i was around 13, i got pwned like so many times because of it.

yes u can, i can solo them as a lvl 38DRG, but they can take down a good amount of HP, or use the AoE curse on you.

perhaps your HP was low enough to agro it to begin with? Meaning your Max HP was within it's low HP Agro range?

Low HP detection is yellow or less; it's not a set number of HP.
