ok first off, most of you are wrong it is 1x heart(1mill on my server) and the yield is 4x HQ= 6, 9, 12 blood sells for 200k each which isnt bad.. but i use it for hawkers+1 ^_^

I have syned 3 of these so far. NQ yields 4 - HQ yields 6. To my knowledge there is no better yield for HQ2+ - although according to ffxi.cannotlinkto there is higher yields, yet according to mysterytour highest yield is 6.
I've maybe broken down about 10 hearts to make blood. Definitely not a desynth, due to both the results message (doesn't say 'obtained')and break/success ratio.
I've HQed 6 blood one time (normal yield is 4), so that's a possible result.
I've failed twice. First time I lost the heart, the second time I didn't. So, it's not like other recipes (haubergeon, hakutaku cluster) which always critical fail. A smarter person than me would stack the mog house with lightning energy before breaking these down :)
Just some info to help you all out. Personally, I wouldn't resell the blood for profit since it's a bit risky, and you pay fees 4 times.

Confirmed although brutally rare.
Mysterytour has it listed as a normal synth, not de-synth. Which is good, as de-synth is way too risky for something this expensive.
Mysterytour says this yields 4, which makes sense since dragon heart is about 4x expensive as the blood
Notice, this is a lightning crystal. So, it may be like any normal de-synth. I have had 2x-8x exception results on a regular basis (I ussually can get 60-80% if I am patient enough for the right circumstance) for most lightning crystal usage. I am not yet a high enough lvl for this, so I can't say if 2 or 4 is an exceptional result on this. But it would stand to reason. I am going to approach this as if it is a 1-8 item like Gobby masks. Hopefully I can get my alchemy up the 30 lvls necessary to start working on this. I see great money potiential here:).

dragons blood is also used to make the cursed armor that is changed into crimson or bloody armor when used with w. abjuration
I was told by my friend (90 something in alchemy) that the yield is 2 blood from 1 heart.
