its used for a quest in norg to get past a door for something for DRG and also a popular farming spot of Hecteyes that drop a type of eye thats used in a recipie for the hktk. eye cluster. the cluster is used to pop a nm that drops the awesome Optical Hat. ^^
just fyi, this item is not under Foods>Fish, its Others>Misc.

I fished this up with 13 fishing skills but body, hands and legs fishing gear.

Seemed almost all too common with me using a shrimp lure.
I was lvl 16 when fishing this up.
Best Place to put this up is obviously Norg or Bastok's auction house. As it is used for access threw the ornamental door in SSG.
You can have one on sale at the AH and also have another one in your inventory. (Same goes for the damp scroll)

What kind of bait would you need to fish up the norg shell for this quest? this thing is a pain in a mithra's tail to get eyes for an OH gees

so can anyone explain where the quest starts(NPC)? please
SO i fished up the Norg Shell, and stored it in my Storage until i would start this quest to get rid of it.
So anyway, I leave with my beastcoins to do the quest, and do the whole thing until i realize at the very end, I forgot my Norg shell in Storage.
I go back to San D'Oria to grab my shell... Hmmm not in Storage... hmmm not in safe or inventory...
I checked all my mules (yes its rare, but i did notice i could send it before i stored it), I can find the thing anywhere.
Is this an item which required completion of certain ZM or CoP mission? Like the Egret fishing rod which i had fished up befoe i was supposed to?

Just a sahagin key to get you past the ornamental door. Don't bother doing this unless you need to get past the door for the NMs and things back there. The sahagin key is not a key item, so it takes up inventory space.
Also, I didn't get a quest to show up in Current or Completed during this, so I don't think you even get fame for it.

This is fished up in Sea Serpent Grotto
It is for the quest in Norg that Alla doesnt have listed -_-;. Gotta have this shell and 3 Mythral Beastcoins to do quest.
