I've checked all over Bastok for Wooden Arrows because I wanted some cheap arrows to help me level SAM. I can't find a single vendor. What all is needed for the venders to sell Wooden Arrows? Please help me out, I'm on Ramuh Server.

What is the difference between wooden arrow heads and Stone arrows? besides cost i mean?
Let's see, about 3-6k for the crystals alone and about 400gil to buy a stack from a merchant. It isn't rocket science.
Is Bastok often last on all the servers or just in Shiva?
Anyways, yeah if you are stuck trying to buy arrows as your new level 1 character in Bastok and you would like to raise your Archery skill since you got your dagger skill ALL the way up there with your WAR(who is the perfect skill upper for all your weapons if he is high level) go to AH. This is because you won't find arrows and you will want to shoot them esp after havng bought your bow FIRST. There you will find clever people selling arrows for 1000 per stack and you will be HAPPY to pay it, like I was.
After I was out of arrows, I had to go to Jeuno and find me a crafter to make them. I paid him a little extra, then he made me a little extra, it was all good. ^^

all the NPC's in Bastol don't sell wooden arows anny more :(

I remember Bastok's merchants had some in stock when I was levelling RNG. Bastok was #1 in conquest though.

South San D'Oria has a weapons shop that sells them. Its just to the left of the AH. I bought some yesterday, so I'm fairly confident that they still have them.
Never craft these. its a waist of money. Like people have said before, you can buy them from the NPC for about 4 gil. Costs more than that to make them, and if you buy them from the AH, they are closer to 700-800,I think (havent checked in awhile). save some money and go buy them from the NPCs listed above. if you are working on raising your skill, craft Stone Arrows. you use less materials to get more arrows, so it seems pretty good to me.

Stone Arrows (Woodworking)
Stone Arrowhead x 1 + Arrowwood Lumber x 1 + Chocobo Fletching x 1 + Earth Cystal x 1 = 33 Stone Arrows
Stone Arroheads (Goldsmithing 2)
Flint Stone x 2 + Wind Crystal x 1 = 6 Stone Arrowheads

I have been trying to craft wooden arrows, but I seem to be having some difficulties with it. I think I should just stick with my Smithing (18) skill. Seems to make me enough money already, but buying so many arrows is really a killer. Rather invest my money in something a little more worthwhile.
If anyone crafts these at the Diabolos server, and sells for a decent price. You have yourself a buyer!

When you craft the Wooden Arrow, does it craft as a stack or just 1?

High quality synths can yeild 66 or 99 arrows at a time, same goes for all Arrows, bolts, Ninja tools etc...

I buy Wooden arrows in San D'oria at the North gate from a guy beside a tree Closest to Home point. It might have something to do with fame. but i pay 3 gil per arrow.
i'm pretty sure cost is linked to your sandy fame, no fame = higher price, high fame = lower price. this may also affect some shop inventories, but i'm not sure on that one

I believe Boytz in Bastok mines sells em. I go to him for my pickaxes all the time and see arrows and crossbow bolts listed there. Gonna have to see if they are indeed wooden arrows. I'll get back to yas on it.

Torapiont in Selbina (Shephard's Muster) also carries Wooden Arrows.
you *can't* buy this at the listed Bastok merchants. Those merchants sell Iron arrows. no wooden arrows. I checked all three.
well, scratch that. I checked again today and the wooden arrows were there this time. no idea what might have happenned heh.
It is based on rank - I don't know if it is first or second, but if you are 3rd, you don't have them to buy at a shop.
I don't think this is based on Rank because I just tried to buy this item with my Rank 3 Char and my Rank 1 mule from shop in Bastok Mines and the item was not listed for either char (Iron Arrows were listed for both chars). Previously I've noticed this item has been not available and then become available later. Who knows it could be as simple as the shop ran out. The economic model used in FFXI is impressive for a RGG game.

No no.... (s)he meant your nation's conquest rank.
i.e. : If "country A" is in 3rd place, 10 items are available at said shop. If "country A" is in 2nd place, 12 items are available at said shop. If "country A" is in 1st place, 15 items are available at said shop.

6 (maybe 12)chocobo fletching = 2 chocobo feathers + wind
6 stone arrowhead = 1 flint stone + wind
1 arrowwood lumber = 1 arrowwood log + wind
33 arrows = 1 chocobo fletching + 1 stone arrowhead + 1 arrowwood lumber

1 Arrowwood log + Wind = 1 lumber
1 lumber + 1 arrowhead + 1 fletching + earth = 33 arrows.
This is the recipe for Stone Arrows, however.

Buy Chocobo feathers from a NPC at the Chocobo stables. They're cheap to buy. In South San d'Oria is where I get them. Don't know about the other cities. Use a wind crystal to make your fletchings.

I've tried this recipe and it doesn't work, you get the "Items won't combine message".
I've tried 1 earth crystal, 1 arrowwood lumber, 1 flint stone and 2 chocobo feathers which didn't work and I've also tried it with 2 bags of chocobo fletchings and that didn't work either.
Anyone have some insight?

Earth crystal is jsut to innate the combine process dont put another earth crystal inside it

You can log lumber in Ghelsba,at the first square there are a lot of logging point.
Just be sure to have an hatchet with you.

Woodarrows are made with Arrowwood lumber, 2 chocobo flectings, and a flint stone, mix in an earth crystal.
Now the Flectings I can buy no problem, and flint stones drop like crazy off the tunnel worms, but where the heck do I get the Arrowwood log?? In the last 1 1/2 weeks playing I've seen ONE at auction! Can anyone help a arrowless warrior?? Thanks

Rangers can also use scavenge to get arrowood logs...rarely though

In San 'Doria you can join the Carpenter guild and buy them for like 9-13 gil each. I have yet to get a drop of arrowwood logs, and as yet have not gotten the hatchet i carry to work :-(

Arrowwood logs are harvested. You chop them down where you see Logging Points.
