Someday by my hands the Antican will be wiped cleaned from Our lands. Join with me brothers and let us take back Our home lands. I ask of the Square-Enix, allow us the Galka to unite and retake our lands. Justice must be served!

I will head your call to fight any and all Antica. Though I may be but a blip on their radar now, I will grow and I will fight until my very name drives fear into their Black Hearts and the site of a Mighty Galka is burned in fear into their collective. Until a ferocious terror is instilled within their evil souls so that none of their filthy race may walk Vana'diel without the fear of DEATH from above.

From the Heavens we shall cometh until our lands are cleansed of this scourge!

Seek me out within the land of Siren. Wear our pearl as a mark for all to see, "We stand united. Tomorrow will be OURS once more If your world is not mine then begin your own movement Brother. Establish your own "PrideoftheGalka" and set forth to spread thine word. Their time is up. OUR TIME IS NOW!!!

ok i have to set all these people straight, the treck from bastok mines to rabao is NOTHING, it takes literally 3 minutes to get there and avoiding aggro is easy, all monsters here aggro by sound so all you need to get there is 2 silent oils, one for koroloka tunnel and one for west altepa. I probably walk back and forth 4 times a day fishing in rabao with a lvl 1 job without silent oils and have never died.

Heh, I just walked from bastok mines to Rabao without any sneak and invis, having never been there before, and having no map! Oh and no escorts. All I did was type <pos> and look up what pos the craig was at then just kept walking around till I found the suare it was in. Then I looked up the pos for the zone to west, then the pos of zone to rabao. Very easy. I am now hoping to find who sells maps here and what pos he is at. Hopefully someone has posted this, other wise its ganna take a while. :)

Oh I got here as my lvl 19 wmg, you can look it up no sneek or invis yet. Not till lvl 20 I think.

Any Level to Visit...

You can get here at any level, I ran through the Korroloka Tunnel Solo as a Level 11 WHM/BLM and then made it to the Gate Crystal in the Eastern Desert, I then almost made it to Rabao when I saw a Cacatuar and decided to say Hi...(I didn't know they Agro'ed...I was being silly...) after a 1-hit KO I got a Raise then followed some people into Rabao, it's a great little place with some nice items for Sale...

Ashu Boikhomo at K-7 (between the two auction houses) sells the maps for Korroloka, Volbow region (Cape Teriggan, Valley of Sorrows, and Gustav Tunnel), and Kuzotz region (Altepa and Rabao). Each one is 3k.

More places
# Apr 06 2004 at 12:27 PM Rating: Decent
Truth is, there are lots of places we haven't got to. Since the NA release of the game, the progression of players have only gotten so far, not nearly as far as the Japanese players, and even to them it will take a long while until they'll be introduced to new places.

My only negative sentiment about this issue is that a lot of the places that are supposedly hidden away or places that are remote from the 4 major cities require the players to be a much higher level to gain access to them. This might've been aggreeable for Jeuno, that in most cases if you're below lvl 20, it will be a bit difficult getting here, not to mention feel completely out of place and out-leveled, because it separates lower level players from mid level players (in a way balancing out the numbers, lowering chances of lag, or whatever the case is). But noticing from experience and from what I've read so far, the other cities like Norg, Rabao, or other cities so far unrecorded require a lvl 30+ party to get there, and impossible to solo easily without sneak and invisible. Though I might be wrong.

My point... there should be more cities, towns that are accessible without so much of a lvl gap, that don't require a huge amount of time and effort to get to. Though admittedly, it's the challenge of the game, so I'm not completely disdraught from the difficulty. It would just be nice to have a city we can all chill at once in awhile without worrying about getting aggro along the way.

Did you forget about selbina and mhuara? They arent as cool as Norg or Raboa but they are definately very go-to-able for any char above level 10.

The idea is that you EARN the trip to the higher-level cities of Rabao, Norg and Kahzam. Either that or you come up with a very clever plan of reaching the areas 'before your time.'

The perspective of 'earn your way there' versus 'I want it while I'm still fighting rabbits in La Theine/North Gustaberg/Tahrongi Canyon' illustrate contrasting styles of play. What, fighting your way to level 30 isn't fun? Then why are you playing the game?

It's not like there aren't any high level players in the 3 nation cities, or in the beginner's zones. It's just that after a sufficient amount of time they need new places to go that test their skills and wits, and that's what these new cities (Zileart expansion areas, BTW) are intented to provide. Mid-lower level players still have to fight hard to get there, but so did the higher level players. It's not like their access to these zones is automatic. They had to fight to get there, too.

You also get the quest for the Garuda summon here. Rabao fame is affected by Sanoria's fame. But, just because you got the Shiva quest DOES NOT mean you can get Garuda quest. This is what happened to me. Gonna look into it more, and see how much fame I need in Rabao before I can get Garuda.
San d'Oria without the lag...
# Feb 29 2004 at 12:22 PM Rating: Decent
I came here for the first time the other day with some of my friends, and I'd just like to say that I really like this little town. My friend said that it was like "Sand'Oria without the lag". I'd say he's right, but I also think that the music is very soothing, (unlike the annoying repetative BGM in San d'Oria). I just wanted to mention that this is a worthy vacation hide-away.

HOW TO GET HERE
# Feb 07 2004 at 10:05 PM Rating: Excellent
i could say its simple but its not.. first of if you plan on going alone.. be 30+, or buckle up and find a 50+ to take you on a wild ride.

essentially go from bastok mines->zeruhn mines->korroloka tunnel->west altepa desert->rabao.

i could TRY to give details but just go into zeruhn and talk to Lasthennes or whatever his name is.. and go through the cave to zone into korroloka. then just go west all the way, try to stay in upper section and you should be fine if you can get sneak and invisible effects. from there it should be on the map in altepa, if not then just goto west altepa desert if not already there and then go to the east exit and thats rabao.

its also a great place to get the Fire light for summoner quest imo

I think this game needs lots of new places, and not all just for lvl 30 plus ppl. Plenty of those too though do not get me wrong. Yeah and plenty of towns. Give me a secondary Jeuno maybe, dislocated from every other city. Possibly run by the Windurstians (Go Windurst!).

I wish they had bigger secondary towns... More of them as well. I like more places to explore.
