~~ lvl 30whm 24drg 17blm 14bst 14war 10pld 9smn not impressive but hopefully soon...~~
ive just been camping these things for an hour an only got 3 threads so far im 38 war/15 thf does th need to be on main job for it to work better or not? cause right now th sucks 3 out of like 20 or 30 sucks
Gil sellers have started to regularly farm the hell out of this on seraph, characters Jeel Ccvv Ccdd and Taiwan all farm together day and night and never log, the last stack sold for 36,000 gil on Seraph. it takes the **** because I need this crap atm for skill up. but the price of green ribbon (3 silk threads > silk cloth > green ribbon) is never going to go up because it is so worthless. I hate crafting now... gil sellers have pretty much made clothcraft impossible. yes you can farm for the stuff. but because you need thousands of stacks just to skill up, do you really want to spend your entire life farming for it!? -.-
I don't see this recipe here... so I thought I'd post for those who don't know...
1x Green Ribbon + Lightning = Silk Thread
I've gotten between 1 and 3 threads per desynth... no skill ups at level 58 so must be much lower level desynth... maybe around 45 or so. This'll help while leveling to 62 if you're going the Green Ribbon route by synthing green ribbons, then desynthing to threads, then synthing the threads into more cloth... It worked pretty well for me.
These one of the most important items in clothcraft and only sells for 20k. Ok, so the farmers get a nice price but when the crafters buy these, they can make items that can triple the income. Is this really worth the long time farming or should people raise the price more?
On one side, we have the sellers saying DAMN UNDERCUTTING GIL SELLERS. And on the other side you have buyers saying DAMN PRICE GOUGING GIL SELLERS. How about this: those of you who normally farm it, go level clothcrafting with it, and those of you who normally buy it, go farm it. Then it would be okay, wouldn't it? :)
think there is a gimp depending on how high your level?
Im level 30thf and its taking ages to get silk plus the price dropped from 20k to 15k in windy down to 18k in jueno its painful after so many hours I get a cut in how much I earn I want that platoon lance -_-

They also drop off berry grubs in Rolanberry Fields, they may drop off the crawlers in the....er crawlers nest lol... but yeah dude gil is hard to come by and stuff is getting REALLY expensive cause of the damn gilsellers and worse the gilbuyers. it's like i hate wal-mart but i hate the people who SHOP there even more...
How did this happen, 16k a stack-20k a stack, in Windurst, in Jeuno, i don't want to look at sandoria or bastok prices, is that happening on any other servers (I'm on Valefor). It's getting ridiculous! How do I/we stop it!?
As of 3 days ago these were selling for 20k a stack in AH windy the most expensive on my server (sereph) much to my surprise all we had to do is watch a beautiful thing come crashing down the under seller got ahold of AH and its selling for 13-16K OUCH!! its not like 20K was a influx it was 20K for a while >< oh well i guess ill just hold out for now...underseller i dont like you ><
You should still get decent drops from regular Crawlers in Saruta. You might also try Canyon Crawlers in Tahrongi Canyon. Although, they might be just a tad bit tough. Be prepared for alot of competition though. Silk Threads are the sole gil maker for a lot of players.
Hi guys, I'm basically a noob so maybe someone can tell me if this is just the mind of a noob thinking...anyway, I see these things sell for 700 a pop on cerberus...and roughly 11-12k for a stack. So couldn't one just buy 12 individuals for a total of 8400...stack and resell for 11-12 for a decent profit considering your just stacking them.
the mind of a noob is that you didn't do it right away. if you see it like that, just do it, don't ask. if you fail, you'll learn from it. teach yourself, don't wait to be taught.
