Dark Bass
I skilled on these and the other catch, giant catfish, at the first pond in davoi using halcy rod and either minnow or sinking minnow (don't recall which). Raised lvl from 26-29 rapidly, coulda went to 31 (catfish cap) or 33 (bass cap) i'm sure.

caught these easily in Phanauet Channel with easy using Halcyon Rod and Worm Lure (lvl 7 fishing)
I save them and turn them in for guild points.
Fishing in Bastok Markets, halcyon rod and minnow. Catching them pretty easy. I was surprised to get a skillup on a catch--a .2 up, skill 11.

I caught these with a hume rod and little worms, along wiht black eels, gold carp tricolored carp, and moat carp
I catch these pretty often in La theine. (16- 21+) I use a frog lure so I catch red terrapin too (which also lvls my skill ^^)

I have caught these in West Sarutabaruta just to the north of the entrance to windurst. i use composite rod and sinking minnow. at lvl 10 fishing i get .2 fishing skill often. wearing full set of fishing equipment

I caught these on the barge using a Mithran rod with peeled crayfish and insect paste.

Also found in Carpenter's Landing, used trout ball and tarutaru rod
you can also catch these in Bastok Markets using a Carbon Rod and insect paste. You'll catch lots of moat carps too, so that's a plus.

you can catch in la theine plateau with a carbon rod and insect paste, and the rod NEVER brokes ;D
you can catch these and giant catfish with a comp rod and worm lure (good for skill) in the jugner lake.
if you use a frog lure you can snag red terrapins sometimes.
(same as LT.. but there are less people fishing for them in jugner i think)

I caught these with lvl 12 skill with all the fishing gear on, with a Hume Rod and little worms, along with black eels, gold carp, tricolored carp, and moat carp.
