Who do i trade these into for guild points? i'm in port windy. I've caught so many of these things with lugworms, and yew rod or willow rod

I agree. Ripped cap, pamtam kelp and "didn't catch anything" is all I have ever gotten with sardine ball, even at 'optimal fishing' phase of the moon.

i can comfirm with lots of time loss, that (in Port Windurst at least) Quus DONT bite on Sardine Ball!

Sitabi Rig is your best chance with Carbon Rod. I can get up to 3 quus with that combo. Good to level up to 5 with it :)

Maybe it's just my server then but my stacks have never sold for 33gil, I have got 1000-3000g per stack. Takes a while to get a stack with a yew rod, but for noods it's worth every penny.

This little fish is an easy prey, you find it in all these places with Lugworm, Robber Rig, Rogue Rig, Sabiki Rig, Sardine Ball.

A real good fish for starting fishing (lv 4-19)

Bibiki Bay (Purgonorgo Isle)
Den of Rancor
East Sarutabaruta (Sea)
Ferry
Kazham
Korroloka Tunnel
Manaclipper (Dhamel Rock)
Manaclipper (Maliyakaleya Reef)

Selbina
South Gustaberg
Valkurm Dunes
West Sarutabaruta (Sea)

You are right Kyizen:

If you have some bastok fame or are from bastok I suggest using the Quus's for the quest a cold light in day, which you can do at like 15 for 500 gold repeatable. THe quest take about 20 mins to walk back and forth. So a stack is potentially worth 6k ^^ if you have the time.

And if you can warp after each kill you can manage it real fast!

Fish in saltwater using lugworms (or I believe a sabiki rig will also catch them) and a fishing pole suitable for small fish. I've had good luck with a Fastwater Fishingpole. A clothespole is a little big, and you'll lose the smaller fish like Bastore Sardines (DEX+1 MND-3 I think). A Yew Rod isn't as sturdy as the Fastwater, but is cheap and works ok.

Fishing off the dock in Port Windurst, I've caught about 6 times as many Bastore Sardines as Quus. It takes some patience but it's worth getting that skill up, especially for Mithra who can eat raw fish. It is well worth joining the fishing guild and getting "assistance" which will temporarily raise your fishing skill.

as a blm if u set your hp in the right area and have completed the back roades to moghouse quest (name please) then i can complete the quest in bastok for 500 gil in just over 5 mins so in 1 hour i can make 6k ive bought quus as low as 33gil a stack which is a huge profit

Sabaki Lures seems to catch quus nicely, especialy after hittin Recuit levels. I get 2-3 of them a cast while wearin full fisherman's gear and not and carbon rod.

When purchasing this item at the AH, what does it fall under? Materials -> Misc ? I couldn't find fishing lures at all.
RE: Where
# Dec 02 2003 at 10:24 AM Rating: Default
1) Quus, like all fish, is in the misc->food category.

2) lures go in the ranged ammo slot, so they're found in weapons->ammo
