Description
During the Great War, the Batallia Downs were the location of the infamous Battle of Jeuno. The scars left from this epic confrontation still litter the region. The looming Achaque Mountains situated in the northern part of the area prevent possible intruders while hampering the travel of adventurers. Finally, the Artisan Bridge connecting the Norvallen Region and the Grand Duchy of Jeuno is located on the downs' far eastern shore.

if go to batallia downs with a lvl 29 would i be able to fight the monsters there and not die alot.which im trying to say would it be like a lvl 5 fighting a orc in ronfuare?
Usually when I want to hide I go anon and find one of the tombs and just rest there so not be found. Don't always like sitting in the Mog house.
On the Garuda server, we have SO many RMT Fisherman here it is ridiculous. You do a /sea area Batallia and their is about 20-40 fisherman, all /anon, some arn't and you can see Level 1 and Rank 1. It's pretty bad.

does anyone know where the entrance to Beaucedine Glacier is from here?

i've searched high & low, my best bet is that there is an exit from the Glacier out to the downs, around the Aged Arbor, which can not be accessed from below, because of the cliff wall blockade.. thing that keeps you from getting up there. Any Conformation?

only way to get to this area is through the Glacier
cannot be accessed from below .. i too tried at one time to find a way up there (without having to make the long trip around) with no success ...
and this is a great place to look for the coffer for this reason .. most of the key farmers wont go through the trouble ...

as i was reading this i had my character set to auto-walk, looking for the glacier entrance around E-6, when i looked up.. i had about head-butt an IT++ Earth elemental.. idk if there are multiple elemental types in different areas, but i can tell you that right now, in Hydra, on the Batallia Downs, the elemental is Earth.

I've been playing this game since it came out in NA (around Nov '03?)and I've only seen it snow in Batallia Downs twice.. I've seen heatwave in Rolanberry more times. Snow in Battalia is VERY rare and I know it made me stop in my tracks on my chocobo just to see it fall. If you want Ice clusters, I would recomend Beaudecine Glacier(sp?) where it snows like every other hour. If you're lucky enough to see it snow in Battalia though and want an ice cluster, the ice elementals hang out near the two areas where it touches the ocean... to the far south and the Northeast part of the map. Hope that helps. Ask the weather checkers in jeuno (one in each area.. usually close to the HP crystal and always staring out at the sky) to see if it will snow w/in the next three game days. What is the Aged Arbor for and how do you get to it?
Aged Arbor is reached by zoning south through Beaucedine Glacier.
Many people use the Eldieme Necropolis entrance in the area to get the ancient papyrus for the first limit quest and a certain NM spawns there as well.

It's not sand, look at it the next time your in there. It's bones...
I got tired of looking online for this garbage, so decided to post all 7 locations of the entrances into Eldieme Necropolis.

First, you have to go through Eldeime Necropolis. The entrance you want is in I-10 of Battalia Downs. Once inside, you will need sneak and invis below lvl 50. It is up to you how you go about getting this. Go to the first intersection and turn left. Follow that down to the second intersection which will be like the intersections in Garliage Citadel. You will want to continue west, so you will turn slightly to your left at this intersection. The next intersection will be the room you want. In this room you have to turn south, but to do so, the switch will have to be thrown. I got around this by shouting for someone to do it as the above poster suggested. Once you get the gate open, head south and follow the path around until you come to a room full of sand pits. Drop down the center one. You will land in an area that looks like a cave. From here you will head to the south at the first turn. Continue going south and east until you zone to the island. Once on the island the Monument is right outside the cave on the right. Enjoy the view and enjoy the easy 10k.

U have to go under ground to get there. I went as a 41 blm with a lvl 63 drk escort. You have to have a high lvl switch the doors as well! Sneak is a must invis is not but may be needed!

Can you go to Beaucdine glacier from batilla?Also how often does it snow in Batilla?
Only seen it snow once in Batallia, it's extremely rare.
As for the Beaucedine Glacier zone, it's on top of a hill. You can only reach it by going through Ranguemont(sp?) Pass. This hill area is mainly designed to make it difficult to access one Eldieme Necropolis area, and to make reaching Lumber Jack tougher.

How do you get to the island in I-11. I know you go through the Bea. Glacier but what path to take i am not certain yet.

Ok i am going to try to explain how to get to
the south batalia down island, but before i do
remember to start the clay quest in selbina,
this way u can make 10K.
Ok here goes....
Enter Eldieme from I-10, now keep going until u
reach a room with skeletons, there u take a left,
then u keep going take a left at the next turn,
now u reach a room with the doors there u have
to go left again but that door will be shut most
of the time so what i do is give a shout and to
pull the switch cause there are always high lv's
in there messing with the switches, ok now when
the door opens u go in and u reach a room with
sand floors, don't step on them cause u will fall down,
what u want is the middle one drop
down there, now keep going then at the turn u
take a right, then a left and just keep going
and you are there voila.

can u give better details like what gates should be open
I found batallia from 25-28 better than the jungle
the party should focus on tigers, gobs, and orcs at this point
camp next to the zones to eldime in case something goes wrong - and second mobs dont pop right outside the zone so you don't have to worry about linkers as long the puller does his job right
it helps alot when the blm in the party has a whm job that can raise just in case something terribly goes wrong (in other words the blm can warp to jeuno, change to whm, get to camp and raise, warp back, change back and return to camp). i've been in a semi static leveling party with this blm and this had to be done on couple occasions because the orcs decide to put up one bad fight.
deaths will happen here - its a part of leveling - but its much easier to get a raise than kazham at times

Agreed. This was a wonderful place to camp to 28ish, before I got my 3 keys for the Kazham airpass. Two things to note:
Not all the bunkers in batallia share a zone boundary with Eldieme. Know in advance which do and which do not, or else you're going to be 6 very imperiled players wandering around a zone filled with aggresive, linking beasts.
Be kind to the other people camping the bunkers. Sometimes they are forced to zone into Eldieme, med up and return to their bunker only to find that another party has pitched a tent there. If this happens, please allow the old party to have their camp back if they ask for it. ^^
That said crowding is NOT a problem in this zone like it is for Yuhtunga (at least not on Siren). Very few parties dare venture out here (or Rolanberry or Sauromugue, for that matter) for exp gaining purposes. Be daring! It's very rewarding, and the tigers in particular drop some lucrative items (tiger fangs/hides), on top of the good beastman drops (cash, fire crystals, goblin equipment, beastcoins).

My guess would be that it is a place holder for a cave that will go to an area from the new expansion pack Treasures of AU.

The stone monument is located on the island in area J-11... you get there by going thru the Eldieme Necropolis. There is also a pretty tuff NM treant named Ahtu on the island....
ahtu is lvl 50... just a hint...
